1st birthday plans
Sep 20My life lately has been consisting of a few simple things that don’t seem to change on a daily basis. It’s quite blah.
- ChaCha. I do this for hours on end every day with a goal of about $400/month minimum
- Picking up freelancing gigs
- Spending time with Gracie. I do this on breaks between working and the majority of time that I do intense work is when she is already asleep or napping
It seems like there is little to no variety. It’s rather dull and seems like there isn’t much to look forward to lately. My birthday is October 11th and I’m going to be 23. I’m not really looking forward to it though. I don’t have any plans currently. I’m not going to the bar since I’m not drinking obviously. Gracie’s birthday is September 28th but we’re celebrating on October 2nd or 3rd. We’re doing a Winnie the Pooh theme. We have party hats, little plates, a first birthday bib, and a banner as well. Her cake is half chocolate and half vanilla with white frosting with a pink border and purple flowers. There is also a Winnie the Pooh figurine on it.
I can’t wait for that. I got her this 5 in 1 activity box thing that she is going to have a blast with. I also got her a mini drum since she likes to bang on things. I found a bubble machine yesterday for 75% off. It ended up being $2.50 and Gracie is absolutely fascinated by it.
I think you should take a day off on your birthday to relax and do things that make you happy. You’ve had an incredibly eventful year – maybe it’s a good thing that right now things are a little boring. It sounds like you’re doing very well with rebuilding everything. Keep at it! I hope your birthday and Gracie’s birthday are both lovely and happy days!

I can’t believe she’s going to be 1 soon! Yay! I am already planning Claire’s first birthday, because I don’t start now, I probably won’t have everything ready come January. How did you guys decide on Winnie the Pooh? Does Gracie show an affinity for Winnie? Claire doesn’t seem to have a lot of interest in just one character, she loves pretty much everything, so I’m having a hard time picking a theme for her =\
