Future Moving
Sep 20It is very possible we will be moving sometime in the near future. We’re all hoping sooner rather than later but the financial situation is looking bleak until about February or so. We might end up spending the majority of winter here quite unfortunately. My parents are looking into buying a house if their credit can be tidied up a bit (in the words of the real estate agent).
We looked at a house we used to live in that is actually a full house on each side so in total it has 10+ bedrooms, a huge yard, and is overall in a great country location. It needs a lot of work though including new windows, possibly a new roof, painting, and flooring that isn’t yucky wood. If my parents do manage to score it we’ve been discussing allowing me to take the other half and paying half of the mortgage (since the hose is a handy man special it is only $50,000 so MAD cheap).
I’ve been thinking about various things I would definitely do if I got to customize it. I would definitely paint the walls bright colors because I’m so sick of living in areas that have darker walls that are gloomy. I would also get carpet in all rooms besides the kitchen and do something I’ve never been able to do in other places like get customized porcelain sinks. They look great and there are so many different types that are appealing to suit anyone’s tastes. A house should represent the people that live in it.
