Bring on the New Year
Dec 26I love the holiday season but I really am glad that it is over and I’m ready for the next year to make its appearance. Finances are playing a major part in wanting the season to be over.
Christmas was good. I got pots and pans, knives, a griddle, Avon Cherry Blossom and of course, PJs. Gracie was completely spoiled rotten from everyone. She got a Yo Gaba Gaba music player, dancing Mickey mouse, Disney princess table and chairs set, Tonka truck and blocks to load up in it, Spiderman power wheels, a wooden stacking train, a moving gear caterpillar and a kickball from the top of my head. Randy’s mother also decided that she wanted to go on a clothes spree and bought her about 25 outfits. I was absolutely shocked by how much STUFF she got.
The only way the day could’ve been made better I think was for none of us to be sick. I’m battling a wicked sinus infection and have been since Thursday. Gracie and Randy both have been sick but not as bad. Ugh. Sinus headaches fucking suck.
On Saturday we invited Randy’s family over for dinner. I’m making a ham dinner and we’re going to socialize, play the Wii and just kick back. I’m hoping it goes as well as planned.
5 Years
Dec 22Randy and I have been together for 5 years today (minus a few months in the summer of 2010) and we’ve been through SO much I can’t even begin to imagine how to summarize. I’m not even going to try though. We’re happy where we are now and I can’t imagine having a connection with anyone else the same way I do with him. Here are two pictures of us taken this morning. Excuse the horrid expressions. I swear he isn’t on drugs either. He just hates the camera.
EdenFantasys Holiday Offerings
Dec 22Online sex toys retailer EdenFantasys offers more than just erotic items this holiday season and I’d be lying if I said I haven’t taken advantage of the offerings they’ve got.
My latest discovery from them is the little afterglow sampler candles. I liked how they had 6 different scents to select from and the holders are cute little glass. They burn for quite awhile and smell divine while doing so. The wax is intended for sensual massages so it doesn’t get too hot either.
I’ve also been eyeing their new Christmas offerings of sexy lingerie, which adds a little something in the bedroom. I really like how they realize that not all of us fit into “normal” sizes and they’ve got a specific offering for plus size girls as well. Sizes go all the way up to 4X.
Other items at EdenFantasys include vibrators, dildos, and bondage items. They’ve got some pretty nice deals going on right now to get a certain percentage off your order and even get free shipping. I know it frustrates me to see a good deal online only to discover that it’s pretty much the same as original price after shipping factors in.
I’m also going to echo what I said before about their lotions and lip gloss. They work well and smell amazing. I also have this obsession with coconut though, so an almond coconut lotion makes me quite happy.
1st Semester Done
Dec 21As expected, I got 5 A’s and 1 B this semester. I’m quite pleased with myself after being out of school for so long. I’m ready for next semester to start already. I honestly love to learn and being in school fuels my need to do so.
Since I’m off for a month I’ve been enjoying reading for pleasure and finished “The Hunger Games.” I loved it and have already started on the 2nd book in the series. I’m anxiously waiting for the movie.
It’s Done!
Dec 13The semester that is. I finished my winter semester off with a final in psychology on a Saturday morning (wtf, seriously) and am so relieved that the papers, reading, discussions and tests are over for the next month.
My tune has changed a bit since the last post. I’ve been playing catch up with money using Text Broker and am pleased to say that I’m slowly but surely digging myself out of this hole. Randy still hasn’t been able to find a job, but I’m not surprised. It’s hard enough for “regular” citizens to get a job. Someone with 2 felony convictions (grand larceny in ’06 and DWI in ’10) has a lot working against him. I’m just glad that he does his fair share of work here at home though. It’s so nice to have a partner in raising Gracie.
Next semester I’m being crazy again and taking 18 credit hours. I swear I’m a glutton for punishment. I really want snow to start falling, just so you all know. It’s not very Christmas-y without some white stuff so hopefully the weather kicks its ass into gear.
Gracie’s Christmas shopping is nearly done. I’m not really buying for anyone else (Randy and I included) because we’re not going more into debt for Christmas. It’s totally not worth it.
